Trainees are involved in health & safety practices; interpreting maps and road signs; preparing documentation; managing breakdowns and repairs; planning and navigating routes; operating forklifts; driving a range of vehicles; and operating vehicles carrying a range of loads.
Certificates II & III in Transport & Logistics (Rail Operations)
Rail Operations trainees are involved in performing electronic data interchange (EDI) to transmit shipping documentation; processing workplace documents; checking and assessing operational capabilities of equipment; using and maintenance minor mechanical equipment; operating forklifts; conducting weighbridge operations; applying accident/emergency procedures; food handling services; customer service; and baggage handling.
Certificates II, III & IV Transport & Logistics (Rail Infrastructure)
Rail Infrastructure trainees are involved in construction, installation and maintenance of rail infrastructure; processing workplace documentation; undertaking track ballast activity; installing and maintaining rail fastening and anchoring systems; operation of four wheel drives; and implementation of pest and vegetation control programmes.
