NEW – Emotional Intelligence Workshops

EI image

NEW to Nara Training & Assessing -Tuesday 5 February 2013

In 2013 Nara Training & Assessing will be offering a series of non-accredited workshops for interpersonal skills.  This is the first to be delivered.

This full day workshop will help the participant to understand emotional intelligence and how it can have an enormous impact of on our everyday lives, both in a professional and personal sense. Developing emotional intelligence and self awareness around our emotions enables us to be more in control of what is happening around us and what we are experiencing and achieving in our lives.

The course is for anyone working with others in managing others, developing, coaching, mentoring and supporting others to develop stronger relationships and better understanding of self and others.

Deanna Ward is the facilitator and has a Masters in Professional Communications, is a personality profiler (using Myers Briggs), a qualified life coach and has been running EI workshops for several years.  Recently she was asked to run workshops for the Department of Regional Development and Lands for their Community Resource Centres yearly conference in Busselton.

Excellence in audit

Nara Training & Assessing
December 3rd, 2012

Nara Training & Assessing has recently successfully completed it’s 5 year re-registration audit with a stamp of excellence.

The auditor spent two full days auditing the Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Certificate IV in Surface Extraction, Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety, First Aid and Certificate II in Building and Construction (Trades – Pathways).

The auditor looked at training and assessment materials, resources, facilities, trainer and assessor qualifications and experience and was  was extremely impressed with the standard and quality of materials and resources and the expertise of the trainers and assessors.  She was especially impressed with the state of the art facilities, especially in the high risk areas.

The audit was outcomes-focused so the auditor interviewed clients, trainers and trainees to assess their satisfaction with the course, service they were receiving and outcomes.  These took place either face to face or over the phone.  The responses were again excellent.  One trainee stated that his trainer was the best that he had ever had!

At the end of the 2 days the auditor gave the findings and expressed how professional she found the way that Nara Training & Assessing dealt with their clients, shared some of the client feedback and expressed that fact that it was extremely rare to experience an audit at this level of excellence and commended everything that Nara Training & Assessing was doing as a business and especially as a trainer and assessor of high calibre and commended the feedback from our trainees and clients, which spoke volumes of how we are viewed from a client / trainee satisfaction point of view.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in this audit and took the time to spend time with or speak to our auditor.

It’s good to know that what we are doing at Nara Training & Assessing really does hit the mark.
