A Plant Operations trainee is involved in learning to drive backhoes, excavators, front-end loaders, graders, scrapers, skid steer loaders, rollers and forklift trucks; operating various attachments to level, excavate, move and load earth, rock and other material; working in many areas from building sites to mining operations. The trainee can select the pathway to a competent operator in any one of the nine major plant items such as backhoe/loader, dozer, excavator, front end loader, grader, scraper, skid steer loader, pipelayer and recycler.
